A Chef cookbook for VLC.

Requirements

This cookbook currently supports OS X, Windows, Ubuntu/Debian, and FreeBSD. It
uses the dmg, windows, apt, and freebsd community cookbooks for that support.

Usage

Either add the default recipe to your run_list or implement the resource
directly in a recipe of your own.

Recipes

default

Installs VLC.

Resources

vlc_app

Used to install the VLC app.

Syntax:

vlc_app 'default' do
    action :install
end

Actions:

:install Install the app
:remove Uninstall the app

Provider for Mac OS X platforms.

Provider for FreeBSD platforms.

Chef::Provider::VlcApp

A parent provider for all the platform-specific providers to subclass.
